  • Audit product through the production process
  • Perform Product audits to verify production assembly is adequate in meeting design and customer specifications. Reports are to be generated from each audit and supplied to the management team.
  • Perform periodical audits on raw material in WIP to determine if the incoming inspection process is adequate in protecting company from supplier quality issues.
  • Facilitate the completion of an annual review of the dimensions for the components used to assembly the company's product.
  • AQPQ Activities4
  • Lead the company multi-disciplinary team in review of the Control Plans and Process Failure Mode Analysis. The QE is responsible for an annual review of both the control plan and the PFMEA with the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Update of the control plans and PFMEA's due to quality issues found either at the customer(s) or internal to the company's production
  • Supplier Monitoring and Maintenance
  • Review and evaluate supplier corrective actions in response to quality issues found at company's incoming and production operations.
  • Evaluate supplier PPAP's for compliance to company's specifications and standards.
  • Facilitate the completion of gage R&R studies per the AIAG Measurements Systems Analysis handbook.
  • Audit gage calibration requirements and adhere to those requirements
  • Perform containment activities and complete quality alerts on non conforming processes
Are you interested? The ideal Quality Engineering candidate will possess:
  • Prefer 3+years or more experience working as a supplier to General Motors
  • 2 years or more experience working with TS16949
  • Prefer experience in IMDS
  • Bachelor's degree in science or engineering - more then 5 years of work experience can offset requirement for degree
  • MUST have experience working as a Tier I supplier to GM
  • Must have experience submitting PPAPs directly to customer
