Arrow Fastener, a division of Masco Corporation, is an entrepreneurial, New Jersey-based consumer durable products company best known for its award winning manual staple guns. Reporting to the Director of Product Development you will join a cross-functional team of marketing, engineering and manufacturing professionals.
In this leadership role, you will work closely with the product development team to introduce innovative new products, product line extensions/features, and technological breakthroughs. You will collaborate across the entire product development and management cycle, including but not limited to: new product realization, product design, project planning and the timely release of new products.
This position is responsible for planning, organizing and executing all steps that are required to meet project objectives within predefined budgetary and time constraints, from project conception through its completion.
Primary Functions:
Participating within a cross-functional team through all phases of the product design and development process, manufacturing and sourcing process through to product launch.
Performing the role of Project Manager.
Preparing and maintaining project schedules.
Identifying resources (manufacturing and human) needed to meet project objectives.
Developing and improving processes in the product development area.
Preparing accurate, up-to-date and concise reports and reviews on project schedules and cost analysis.
Quality Assurance to determine product reliability, function and testing parameters.
Assist suppliers and Arrow product development team with prototype development and evaluation.
Prepare PRD and product specifications along with the product development team.
Direct external manufacturing / supplier sources with frequent on-site visits to manage and resolve the typical sort of issues that occur with manufacturing new products.
Domestic and International travel.

Communication with team members, which may include various elements of the Masco Corp, the Arrow Fastener organization and external suppliers.
A creative individual with the ability to work in a team environment.
Knowledge of ProE and CAD with experience in solid design product development.
Education and Experience:
Demonstrated background with 5 - 7 years project management in a large manufacturing company.
Knowledge of design and manufacture of component parts as well as finished products.
A Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, along with a minimum of 7 years experience in design and project management is required.
Experience in consumer durables product design or hand or power tool design and manufacturing is highly desired.
Experience managing manufacturing projects as well as sourcing products from overseas suppliers.
Demonstrated experience managing Asian suppliers of components and finished goods.
